| 详情 | SECOND COMPLAINT: In July 2004 a Member placed an order for 7,500 pieces of Semtech part number LCDA15C-6 totaling $17,300.00. The payment terms were Net 1. The parts were received on July 16, 2004, however, were not shipped to the Customer until September 3, 2004 due to the Summer Holidays. The reporting Member was contacted by the Customer on November 5, 2004 indicating they had mounted 4,081 pieces out of the 7,500 and the cards were not working. The Customer stated they performed the tests using a Hunter Tracker 2000 and found “the faulty IC, the pins 1-8, 2-7, 3-6 and 4-5 are connected to each other with back-to-back connected diodes”. The Customer went on to say that when they measured a correct IC, it was found that “pins 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 and 8 were connected to pins 4 and 5 with back-to-back connected diodes”. These findings led the Customer and the Member to believe that while the parts were marked as LCDA15C-6, the parts were actually LCDA05 THRU LCDA24. The Member contacted OHM Electronics with the Customer’s findings on November 19, 2004 and returned 10 pieces to OHM for testing. OHM confirmed the problem with the product but informed the reporting Member their Supplier would not issue an RMA and refund, claiming the faulty parts are not the same as those they supplied. The ERAI requested the name and contact information of OHM’s Supplier, as well as date code and lot code information for the parts they shipped. We never received a response to these questions. Further communications with OHM have ceased, leaving this matter unresolved as of this date. |
